Part of a specialised analyst team focused on large transactions and new to bank lending for emerging corporates within the Commercial Bank. Key Responsibilities include:- Structuring complex cash flow lending transactions including detailed assessments of serviceability, financial forecasts, customer’s security and losses given default;- Growing Westpac’s balance sheet through sizeable business lending transactions, including finance for acquisitions and major capital expenditure programmes across a range of sectors; - Assessing and recommending risk appetite and credit worthiness for customers with large exposures in accordance with periodic risk review requirements; and- Providing relationship management support including direct customer engagement and liaising with various Westpac product and credit teams to ensure the best outcomes for both the customer and Westpac.

Access Lighting is a national supplier of lighting for commercial and industrial applications. The company supplies a range of commercial customers nationally including hotels, hospitals and museums. Key responsibilities/achievements include:- Manage and increase revenue through customer acquisition and new sales channels. Achieved revenue growth of 23% and 15% in FY16 and FY17 respectively;- Oversee and implement pricing and operational changes to improve gross margin and reduce operating expenses. This has resulted in significant improvements in gross profit and EBITDA for two consecutive years;- Directly manage all staff, including target setting and performance management for sales and operational roles.

‘So They Can’ (STC) is an Australian charity that is fighting poverty through education, microfinance and other sustainable projects in East Africa. This position was a posting to Kenya through one of the Australian Government’s AusAID programs. Key responsibilities included:- Administer the financial operations of STC's Kenyan projects (primary school, children’s home and microfinance program) including working capital management, banking, payroll, budgeting and financial statement preparation;- Supervised expatriate social business managers and financial staff to monitor and improve the organisations financial performance in Kenya;- Direct and grow STC’s microfinance loan book to over 100 active borrowers through loan origination, improving on default procedures, and implementing a mobile payment collection system.

Managing the trade and working capital finance requirements for corporate customers with revenue between A$100m-A$1,000m. Key responsibilities include:- Establishing credit limits and facilities for customers seeking to undertake traditional trade (e.g. letters of credit);- Structuring transactions such as limited recourse trade finance, supplier finance and inventory finance to minimise exposure and/or loss given default when lending to customers with challenging credit worthiness; and- Business development for potential customers that require international trade and working capital funding.

Worked as an Analyst in Trade and Working Capital.
