I manage GMAC’s global privacy program, supporting GMAC and its subsidiaries in the US, UK, India, and China. By developing and executing GMAC’s data privacy strategy, I ensure data practices serve both privacy objectives and GMAC’s mission and business objectives, effectively managing the risks posed by constantly changing data privacy regulations. I bring a deep understanding of data privacy laws and risk management, combined with years of experience in project and program management. My ability to bridge the gap between legal, technical, and business teams, enables me to craft policies and practices that are practical to implement and that right-size the risk response to preserve operational efficiency.

Some example projects include: redesign and implementation of a cyber assurance program responsible for testing multi factor authentication (MFA) controls and compliance with FFIEC guidance; a PCI-DSS compliance, segmentation and scope reduction program implementation; CCPA preparation and compliance implementation; and a data management, privacy, & security program at a major US bank.

As a program manager, I was charged with improving operational efficiency across a range of internal functions. This role required partnering with a diverse range of stakeholders across the organization and external partner organizations to identify process improvements, obtain leadership buy-in, and integrate new processes. Example project: I implemented a new way to evaluate the organizations grant portfolio by building a dashboard based on Salesforce data and developing a supporting process to gather analysis and stakeholder input from across the organization. This provided the foundation’s leadership and grant officers a holistic view of the organization’s grants and data-driven evaluations of their success rates. The result was better data to evaluate strategic portfolio allocations.

While attending graduate school, I worked in the business school’s development office, helping to initiate and cultivate relationships with donors. My work included identifying prospective donors, developing engagement strategies, and contacting donors. I also worked on events and marketing materials supporting the development office and student engagement.

As a legislative correspondent (LC), I worked on a wide range of legislative issues and helped manage the office's CRM system. Functionally, my role was part legislation and part communications. My work required in-depth knowledge of legislative issues (often with little time to study them), a strategic mindset, and knowledge of Congressional politics. But it was also heavily focused on communications and required translating complex legislative issues and strategy into succinct communications. I also managed the office’s CRM system, and worked with vendors to develop custom reports, analytics, and incorporate new functionality and dashboards.
