I am a target driven individual with 5+ years experience in the barbering industry, working as a self-employed barber for 3+ years including a management role for 10+ months. After acquiring many skills related with client retention, customer service and marketing my personal brand to generate new clients, I would now like to transfer these skills to a new industry.Started working part time at the age of 16. After completing my leaving certificate I began working full time and garnered 2+ years sales experience in sports fashion retail before deciding to train as a barber. Approximately 1.5 years’ into my barbering career I relocated from Ireland to Spain. After another 3.5+ years’ barbering in Spain, myself and my partner made the decision to relocate to Melbourne, Australia. Where I will now be seeking sales based positions.I have been selling throughout my career, within both sales and service positions. As a sales assistant in the retail industry I gained experience dealing with a high volume of customers, utilising consultative sales approaches to ensure clients were satisfied with their purchases and store KPI’s were met. Additionally, in my role as a barber I have gained extensive experience upselling hair care products to clients to which I had established a lasting working relationship. This created continual repeat business and a steady stream of revenue for the shops I worked with. Naturally, both roles required a high level of customer service allowing me to build excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone.Available from 1st of October onwards.
