As a member of the HUBzero team within the SDx group at the San Diego Supercomputer Center, I work remotely as a full-stack developer on a variety of hubs and science gateways.As a member of the Center for Environmental, Geotechnical and Applied Sciences (CEGAS) at Marshall University, I led the development of the Visualization Lab, home for VISE (Virtual Interactive Simulation Environment), and the acquisition of Marshall’s first HPC cluster. I have worked on several grant-funded projects involving computational and data-intensive research and collaborative research environments, and served as the TeraGrid/XSEDE/ACCESS Campus Champion for Marshall until moving to Austin, TX. I've also been quite active in many roles with the Science Gateways Community Institute (SGCI).As a member of WV Science and Research, a division of the WV HEPC, I helped coordinate the cyberinfrastructure (CI) needs and facilitate NSF-EPSCoR funding opportunities among the higher educational institutions within WV, especially in high-performance computing (HPC).I spent almost 25 years in industry using computation chemistry and material science for catalyst discovery and optimization, including the development of a web-based cheminformatics system for both experimental and computation high-throughput screening. I spent several years after "retiring" from industry doing contract research computing across private, non-profit, government, and academic sectors.
