Physicist and engineer with experience in algorithms, statistics, physical and mechanical simulation, and scientific programming languages. I am also a trilingual researcher, using modern research and communication tools on a daily basis. My actual work consists of managing a team of three data analysts in developing tools and achieving studies in road safety, automated driving and new mobility. This envolves systems functional simulation, statistics with machine learning methods and the manipulation of various databases. In the projects that I manage, I can interfere as an engineer and/or a manager, beginning from establishing the project specifications and writing the technical and financial proposal, the management of the technical staff, technical work and leadership, and delivery of the results. Our principal clients are French and European car manufacturers (OEMs), insurers, mobility stakeholders, European Union (European projects) and potentially all innovating companies that work in the field of mobility and road safety.

Engineer And Project Leader (Automated Driving And Vehicle Safety)Ceesar (European Center For Safety Studies And Risk Analyses) Aug 2015 - Apr 2021Nanterre, Île-De-France, FranceKeywords: computer simulation, Matlab, R, accident reconstruction, statistics, databases, road safety, ADAS, project management, customer support.Clients and partners: French and European OEMs and tier-one suppliers, transportation suppliers, regulation and consumer testing organisations, European commission, research labs... Projects:- Development of a simulation tool for AEB & AES (for pedestrians, cyclists, and powered two-wheeler users) in order to evaluate the effectiveness of these systems in terms of accident avoidance or injury mitigation. The tool was designed to evolve in order to take into account other ADAS. It serves to optimize the parameters of these systems (field of view, TTC, amount of braking decelartion, ...) according to the accidental reality taken from road accidents databases.- Prospective study on the potential benefit to road safety of the introduction of a certain number of ADAS. The study is based on a detailed and representative French accident database.-Studies for the design of combined active/passive safety systems for pedestrians.-Avenue project (H2020): this project includes various research organisations, transport companies and an autonomous shuttle manufacturer. It aims at making the autonomous shuttle circulate in an environment shared by other vehicles and road users. CEESAR's role being safety insurance by means of different use-case tests and simulations. - SafetyCube project (H2020): the aim of this project is to provide a web based decision support tool for road safety stakeholders. This tool is based on bibliographic reviews, meta-analyzes and cost-benefit of road safety measures. The work packages in which we contribute deal with the methodological support and road user safety around and inside the vehicles. -
Biomechanical Simulation EngineerLiris Feb 2009 - Sep 2012Lyon Area, FranceDuring this period, my main work was focused on the biomechanical modeling of the respiratory system. I had developed a patient-specific model of the human diaphragm that is based on muscle contraction. I then worked on the integration of the diaphragm model to the chest-wall model developed by the team. Motions and deformations were calculated using the finite element method. 4D CT images have been used to the construction of geometric models of organs and to the validation of motions and deformations resulting from the simulation.I also contributed to the work of my team concerning organ modeling. I developped a motion and deformation model of the liver for image registration purposes. In order to achieve this work, I worked through all the chain of modeling, beginning from the study of the medical images, the segmentation and the construction of 3D models of the different organs and ending with the biomechanical modeling using ABAQUS software and the export and analysis of the results.Simultaneously, I proposed two research topics (1st year of Master's) in the domain of medical imaging and segmentation (on MRI and CT scan) and supervised four students to achieve these projects in groups of two.I also gave some teaching as an assistant at the University Lyon 1 parts of the following:- Physics and Electronics for Computer Science - 1st year BS in Computer Science.- Algorithms and Programming - 2nd year MS in Computer Science. -
Intern (Master'S Thesis)Laboratoire De Physique Et D'Etude Des Matériaux Mar 2008 - Jul 2008Région De Paris , FranceResearch title: Phase modulation ellipsometric imaging.I contributed to the development of a wide field ellipsometer for measuring in-vivo development of organic layers at the nanometer level. I added optical sensors to the setup, programmed their output and synchronised them with the camera that acquires the main beam. The camera was already installed by the team. I also modeled and calibrated the setup and used it for the measurement of ellipsometric parameters and the computation of the thickness of the organic layers.
