As a menswear designer in Christchurch, I'm constantly inspired by the city's unique blend of traditional heritage and contemporary innovation, and it’s something that inspires me in my work, daily. I have a deep passion for this city and am proud to call it home. I am continually inspired by the community that thrives here and the unique perspectives that each individual brings.As a designer, I am constantly striving to improve and push the boundaries of what's possible. I find great joy in overcoming difficult tasks and exploring different solutions to problems, using a design focused approach. I also am analytic at heart and find myself enthralled with details that surround my everyday, from breakdowns of past seasons, to explorative and malleable insights of day to day trade. I am excited by the new opportunities and ever expanding community that I find growing around me. As well as my day job as a designer I find myself being 50% of The Progress Podcast! An exciting new endeavour, forged from the flames of early morning coffee meetings and late night ideas sessions. The progress pod, is a space where I, alongside my good friend and business partner Thomas Nye, speak with some of leading innovators and creators within our Christchurch. We explore the everyday incites from their lives and breakdown the keys they’ve found to progress. Season one is coming soon! I strongly believe that everyone has something valuable to share and I am committed to doing my best to share my own experiences and knowledge. I'm not afraid to ask stupid questions and showing how much I don’t know, because I believe that honest questioning and humility are essential to unlocking new insights and discovering innovative solutions. Truly, I believe that asking questions and being open to learning from others is the key to personal and professional growth. Through my work as a designer, and a soon to be podcast host I hope to share my personal insights, learn a lot and maybe even inspire others to embrace their creativity and pursue their passions, regardless of where they come from or what they think they’re capable of.
