Based in Bangkok, Thailand, Jackson Cox is Founder and CEO of Woodmont International, a firm that specializes in policy, government relations, and public affairs throughout the Indo-Pacific region. Woodmont assists its clients with strengthening their positions in emerging markets by building and executing external engagement strategies, including media, community relations, coalition building, stakeholder engagement, polling and focus groups, government affairs, civil society outreach, etc. Jackson, together with a small group of American business leaders, established and launched the American Association of the Indo-Pacific in early 2022. AAIP is a regional business association for US-headquartered companies and works to strengthen American business and investment across the Indo-Pacific. Jackson is the Founder of the American Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia – the official affiliate office of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia. From 2015-2018 Jackson served as the Chairman of the Asia Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce - an association of 30 American Chambers of Commerce from the region. APCAC’s collective membership comprises of over 15,000 businesses; 50,000 overseas American workers; 15 million employees; and over $600 billion in annual trade. Through Woodmont International and associations with other firms, Jackson has provided advice and direct strategic counsel to multi-national companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Mars, UnitedHealth Group, Starbucks, Cargill, FedEx, Peabody Energy, ADM, Nestlé, PhRMA, and Abbott; the foreign governments of Uganda, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, and Lesotho; and to World Growth International, a non-profit organization that Jackson led during World Growth’s three-year economic growth project in Mongolia. Prior to Woodmont International, Jackson worked in the international development sector where he managed democracy-strengthening projects in Mongolia and Cambodia for the International Republican Institute. Jackson served as the East Tennessee campaign chairman for Bill Frist’s successful campaign for United States Senate in 1994 and as the Political Director of Frist’s re-election in 2000. Jackson served as advisor in Senator Frist’s Washington, DC office between the two campaigns.
