As the marketing content developer for the Faculty of Technology, I work on a number of projects. These include writing copy for the web, social media, blogs and features, as well as some print pieces. I also create photo and video content aligned with the university's brand.I run campaigns to recruit new students the Faculty's six schools and departments. These include undergraduate and postgraduate courses. I run organic and paid social media campaigns across major social networks and regularly report to key performance indicators within the faculty. At UoP Global, I planned and developed enquirer and applicant nurture campaigns for disparate international markets. These were delivered to target markets across multiple channels, including email, social and mobile apps. I line managed two staff members to deliver these plans to meet agreed targets, and regularly met with the VC Global Engagement to implement various projects. My efforts on social media resulted in taking University of Portsmouth international pages from 30th place in February 2017 to 1st place by September 2017 on the Edurank.net score of social media, maintaining a top 15 position since then. I have an excellent understanding of digital communication, through social media, email, messaging apps and more. I use tools like Hootsuite, Buffer and Tweetdeck to schedule and plan content for multiple social media channels, primarily Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter. I am aware of the importance of personalised and timely content, especially for the key Generation Z audience that make up our target market, and know that as digital natives they expect messaging to be coherent, respectful of their privacy and specific to their needs. I always strive to ensure that communication is accurate to the channel and the audience I’m dealing with, and I know how to effectively use channels by tagging accounts and resharing content where appropriate. Overall, I was responsible for all parts of the international digital campaigns for the university, supported by my creation and development of relevant and intriguing copy, on-brand image content and social media management.

I am responsible for digital marketing channels to reach audiences across the world, with a focus on using social media to recruit prospective students to the University of Portsmouth. I work closely with all faculties within the department and have created a number of solutions to increase student applications to the University. I am also instrumental in pioneering dedicated campaigns across disparate audiences (e.g. graduate, volunteers, current students) and have investigated and implemented the use of new technology to achieve these aims. I pioneered a new interactive format for communication of department materials as well as cementing the brand identity for the department, which has lead to a large increase in number of students and graduates engaged with our services.

I was fully responsible for understanding customer's needs, quoting for, designing and ultimately providing fully bespoke team-wear, corporate clothing and promotional merchandise. I prided myself on being able to quickly understand a customer's brief and working with them to achieve their design idea accurately and in a timely fashion. This role also allowed me to expand my design, marketing and social media skills as I grew the business from scratch to connect with valuable clients.
