Educate Services is a procurement consultancy which works exclusively with schools, advising on the best ways to allocate their non-salary budget. This involved a combination of locating direct substitutes, as well as a broader analysis of school needs and capacities, often finding more lateral solutions to problems. Since this involved public money, there was also a strong focus on efficiency at work. As an analyst my role included;• Client Management: I was responsible for several schools, ensured that projects for them were completed on time and that communication was effective.• Prioritising competing demands: I had to ensure that I appropriately allocated my time in order to complete projects on different scales and timelines for multiple schools. This was all while keeping track of the goals of Educate Services in revenue generation and positive client relationships.• Research & Data Analysis: Savings were found by analysing current and past expenditure, identifying school needs and locating alternative solutions.• Negotiation: Dealing with suppliers often involved bargaining over their prices to ensure that the school received appropriate pricing or deals.
