About Jackson Keller
3D Environment Art Intern at Insomniac Games in Burbank. During the last few years, I've worked as an Environment Artist on several indie games for PC, Console, and VR. Previously, I worked in simulation for Collins Aerospace as a Hard Surface Artist, an experience that enabled me to refine my hard surface modeling with a focus on optimization and efficiency.I enjoy environment art because of the opportunities it provides to solve problems, learn new techniques, and create a variety of assets that have their own technical and artistic challenges. This variety keeps my art invigorating and exciting each day. Whether an asset is best served by a procedural or a handcrafted approach, I'm able to find something about its creation that intrigues me - and I've found few accomplishments as rewarding as finishing an entire scene. In terms of subject matter, I particularly enjoy working on natural environments and assets. Foliage, rocks, landscapes, and organic materials are the most appealing assets to me as someone who loves spending time outdoors. As a member of a team, I pride myself on my organization, diligent focus, and calm attitude.In my time off I love surfing and skiing, and prefer to work at studios where I can do one or the other :)
