Profile bio

About John Towers

I am a senior at Harvard College pursuing a double concentration in Environmental Science and Public Policy and Integrative Biology. I have supplemented my primary academic focus of food systems and sustainability with culinary education from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France. I am passionate about putting my skills and education to use in addressing climate change, especially in its intersections with food systems and agriculture. On campus, I dedicate myself to various environmental organizations, including the Harvard Climate Coalition, of which I am a founding member, and Harvard Undergraduates for Environmental Justice, a completely undergraduate student-run organization. In addition to my extracurriculars, I have engaged professionally across links in the overall food system, from culinary education and restaurants to regenerative agriculture and food education initiatives. Aside from food and the environment, I am passionate about ecology, biodiversity, art, and graphic design.
