Project overview at GreenTech:Camera intrinsic calibration quantification and methodology development.- Developed mathematical understanding of camera intrinsic and wrote aPython program that could simulate how objects in a 3D environment would be captured by a pinhole camera model and render an image with simulated camera distortion.- Research into the methods and tools currently employed to calibrate camera intrinsic parameters and quantitively evaluate results.- Implemented fiducial marker calibration methods in the Python simulation for feature influence and accuracy evaluation. Identified important aspects of calibrations and developed a calibration procedure for the cameras used on Greentech’s autonomous weeding robots.
