At Sierra Wireless, I worked on the mechanical design and testing for the electronic packaging of new and existing products. During this intership, I :- Verified geometric dimensions/tolerances using various measuring instruments- Created and modified parts, assemblies and drawings in PTC Creo- Prototyped modifications to new and existing products by 3D printing, altering existing parts and/or adding new components.- Ran mechanical reliability tests (temperature, humidity, durability, free-fall, and IP64) for the electronic packaging of a new product.

The Industrial Engineering unit assists the warship maintenance divisions of the Fleet Maintenance Facility (FMF) by engineering solutions to optimize workflow. At this position, I lead an industrial design project to implement a solution for one of these ship maintenance divisions :- Created parts, assemblies and engineering drawings in Solidworks- Guided manufacturing and installation through detailed shop drawings- Designed and optimized parts and assembly for sheet metal fabrication- Validated a design through failure analysis by method of allowable strength and by SolidWorks FEA simulation package
