Provided engaging educational experiences to students apart of one the the highest poverty rates in Illinois. Implemented Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) and Eureka Math. Part of the Leadership team for PBIS to Harrison school. Piloted both CKLA and LSI programs and served as the math lead for first grade by attending quarterly meetings with the math curriculum director. Trained in Dibels and Fastbridge testing and progress monitoring.

Lesson planned and created activities for three to five year olds that are at risk. Created portfolios for each child that align with ISBE standards. Observed and entered documentation for each child that align with the ISBE standards. Conducted DIAL screenings for new and returning students to determine if they are eligible for our program. Met with parents and caregivers twice a year to discuss progress and goals for their child.

Planned lessons and activities for children three to four years old. Worked on developing skills that are needed to succeed in pre-k and kindergarten; these skills include daily living skills, self-help skills, literacy and math skills.

Monitored the facility and the activities that took place during my work hours. Made sure lifeguards were correctly monitoring the pool and deck. Assisted community members to assure they had a quality experience. Supervised swim lessons several times a week. Duties during this time included, testing children when instructors felt they were ready to move on, gave feedback and tips to instructors and worked with parents to ensure all their questions and concerns were answered.

Assisted in an Early Childhood Special Education classroom. Helped students with academics, social skills, daily activities, and other struggles they encountered. Worked with children who had behavior disorders, cerebral palsy, autism, downs syndrome, and many other developmental delays. Planned activities and games for our age group each week.
