Jaclyn specialises in cardiorespiratory care and conducts cardiac rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, and vascular rehabilitation and weight management classes on a regular basis. She believes that exercise is medicine and is passionate about helping people incorporate exercise into their lifestyles. Jaclyn has published several papers in cardiac rehabilitation and has spoken at multiple conferences on exercise-related topics. Her passion has earned her many accolades such as designing and developing Heart Track™, a mobile application enabled care model designed to empower heart patients to exercise anytime and anywhere. Heart Track™ has won the National Healthcare Innovation and Productivity Best practice award (Automation, IT and Robotics Innovation) in 2021. She specialises in implementing exercise programmes for individuals with chronic lung conditions and holistic weight management. She also specialises in chest physiotherapy to promote phlegm clearance as well as breathing re-education. She is a certified breathing coach who helps people use breathing techniques to reduce breathlessness and improve their health. Her work on breathing re-education has helped many individuals with conditions such as Asthma, Post-COVID syndrome and Anxiety. In addition, she has taken up numerous hospital and department leadership positions. One of her distinguishable leadership positions was the nomination of her to be the physiotherapy-lead in the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Committee as well as in the Trauma committee. In both appointments, she played a major role to address complex rehabilitation needs as well as lead quality improvement projects to improve clinical care and outcomes. Her kind, compassionate and empathetic nature have led to many patient compliments and the appointment as the Department lead for the Care, Empathy Professionalism team which drives initiatives to improve patient care and service. Her drive to provide the best cardiopulmonary care for patients and provide easy access to quality care beyond the hospital walls were the main motivators for her to establish Heart and Lung Physio.
