Alexander Metals is my personal business alongside my spouse. Alexander Metals is a small metal fabrication business with focus on handrails, gates, and custom commissioned work. Primarily working with steel, stainless, aluminum, copper and brass.

From May 2019 - to Covid 2020 I worked for Derby Restaurant located at The Shop Clubs. During this time as Assistant General Manager I was focused on curating, growing and maintaining the bar program. This included but was not limited to seeking out sought after and hard to find spirits with a heavy focus on supporting brands from Washington State. One of my favorite aspects of this is the vendor relationship, you cant have a well rounded beverage program with out a vast directory of those who got the goods. I was also lucky enough to be responsible for the development and growth of the event programs at Derby and the Shop Club. This included small happy hour gatherings, full service sit down dinners, restaurant buy outs, corporate product launches, beer, wine and spirit tastings,cigar nights and music partnerships with SOFAR. Outside of this I was active on the restaurant floor from open to close serving as the floor manager.

During my second wave of work with the Amazing Makini Howell at Plum Bistro I served as her catering coordinator. During this time I was responsible for booking and seeking our opportunities with private and commercial patrons that included small intimate private dinners, corporate retreats, weddings, music festivals, and food truck festivities.

I have so many wonderful things to say about working for Tap House. From 2015 to 2018 I managed the front of house team at Tap House Grill which featured 160 draft beers as well as a full spirit and wine catalog. As a downtown staple located next to the convention center, we averaged daily 400 guests keeping us busy from open to close. For this role I was responsible curating a beer lovers dream line up; with 160 draft taps I was able to work with hundreds of reps from near and far. I would say my time spent in this role has given me that deep look and experience with understanding beverage trends, working relationships with representatives, vendors, and distributors. Since I have been in the shoes of a bar and restaurant manager for so many years, I know what I am looking for in a representative and can offer the experience in turn.In addition, I addressed hiring, training and mentoring, writing weekly schedules, holding quarterly staff meetings and reviews for 40+ employees as well as social media. Financially I addressed P&L, inventory and ordering for all foh needs. As well as daily floor involvement which included opening/closing, cash handling and position on the floor as host, expo, and bar support.

24 Hour Emergency Animal Hospital.Daily interactions with patrons, doctor liaison and patient charts.

I worked at Maritime Pacific Brewing at the same time as Aerowood Animal Hospital. This served as my part time job. Maritime Pacific Brewing is a local brewery founded in Seattle WA with focus on classic drinkable beers. This is where my early beer curiosity began. I served and tended bar on the nights and weekends

I began serving at Makini Howell's upscale Plum Vegan Bistro in December 2010. This served as my night and weekend gig while working full time at KidsQuest Children's Museum. From 2010-2012 I served in this busy, upscale setting with wait lists from open to close. Tables averaged 2-6 guests with varied allergies and accommodations as we were a specialty dining space focused on vegan and gluten free menus. In September 2012 I was promoted Store Manager at another location called Plum Pantry located in the Seattle Center Armory. At this time I left KidsQuest and focused on the growth of Plum Pantry while also serving at Plum Bistro. At Plum Pantry I was responsible for daily operations, ordering, pick up and delivery, hiring, training and mentoring. This location focused on quick service, sandwiches, fresh juices and pour over coffee as it unique location inside the Seattle Center Armory.

I moved to Seattle in 2009 to join the team at KidsQuest Children's Museum. KidsQuest is an early education hands on children's museum who's mission is to create learning through the power of play and exploration that connects children to their communities and the world. During this time I joined the team as a front of house manager and was quickly promoted to a Operations Manager team of 2. This included daily interactions on the floor with guests and staff, writing schedules, hiring, training and mentoring. The other half of my job included functioning as the Exhibit Coordinator, this involved the upkeep on all exhibits including the cosmetic and functional use.
