I managed all the internal and external interfaces with stakeholders, associated with the MAC area. I was again instrumental in the management of the modular assembly and fabrication in China and over size over mass modular shipping and land transport at night.Key Achievements• The South Flank megaproject met its cost and schedule milestones, despite the global COVID pandemic and during a period when other megaprojects in the region all failed.• Modular Assembly and Fabrication in China together with the Over Size Over Mass modular shipping and land transport at night recovered the project schedule by ~9 months.• Employee Perception Surveys (EPS) results of 95% Safe, 90% Engaged and 81% Enabled, approximately 6% higher than EPS scores of the top 25% Global companies. In parallel during this period, I was also the Project Manager for the execution of an A$320M expansion of the Jimblebar iron ore processing facility with the addition of a third primary crusher and 6.5km overland conveyor with a single epC contract.Key Achievements• The establishment of a Zero harm culture and proactive engagement of the entire Jimblebar project workforce to deliver the final one-million-man hrs totally incident and injury free.• The implementation of the back-to-basics Safety approach, under pined by proactive safety pauses, engaged Field Leadership, proactive identification, and elimination of Zero energy hazards and material risk management on site.• The subsequent Jimblebar expansion project was delivered Incident and Injury free, on schedule and achieved a significant cost saving, resulting in lower production cost for the Jimblebar mine.• The collaborative way in which the project team worked together with the Jimblebar Operations and Maintenance teams to commission, handover and ramp up, and accept the facilities ahead of its name plate capacity.• The IPA report for Jimblebar stated: “The Jimblebar Project, as a significant Greenfield megaproject development, met its cost and schedule milestones and achieved a production output ahead of plan. The project’s absolute performance was also robust: it achieved a competitive cost outcome for the ore handling plant. I managed all the internal and external interfaces with stakeholders, associated with the process areas. I was instrumental in the management of modular assembly and fabrication in China to recover the project schedule by ~7 months. I negotiated with MRWA to change transport regulations for divisible loads. Since then, the WA transport industry can (1) increase module sizes, (2) proceed with night movements of oversize over mass loads, (3) have flexibility in convoy lengths for rolling roadblocks and (4) replace Police escorts with Traffic Wardens.
