I am a focused and hard working individual who is highly self-motivated in pursuing and achieving my personal and professional goals; chief of which at this stage of my life is establishing a stable career in a technical field where I will be able to advance and excel. I actively seek to exceed standards and expectations in all of my endeavors and strive to become a valuable asset everywhere I work. During my nearly 5 years of active duty service with the U.S. Marine Corps I advanced quickly, having been selected for Collateral Duty and Quality Assurance inspection qualifications in less than a year after my initial training, which lasted 13 months. These duties included supervising, inspecting, and approving avionics maintenance operations for Marine combat and transport helicopters, while simultaneously managing various secondary work center programs such as Hazardous Materials and Tool Control, as well as serving as a Secret Materials Courier for my unit. During my enlistment I conducted these duties in Afghanistan, aboard the USS Essex in SE Asia, MCAS Futenma, Okinawa, and MCAS Camp Pendleton, California.After an Honorable Discharge as a Sergeant from active duty service I began my pursuit of a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Washington State University in the Fall of 2013, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude in the Fall of 2015. Following graduation I moved back to the Vancouver, Washington area and began working at Evraz Oregon Steel Mills as a part of their LEAN Team. While at Evraz I assisted with implementing LEAN/Six Sigma principles and practices to the manufacturing operations in the spiral pipe mill. My position at Evraz ended abruptly when the spiral pipe mill was shut down. Currently I am working for the Bonneville Power Administration in their power systems electrician apprenticeship program and I am looking forward to a long and productive career with the BPA.
