The experience in conferencing I gained was incredible and increased my passion for the church. At this conference, a special session was called to take place in February 2019 in St. Louis, Missouri. The purpose of the Special Session was to deliberate the stance the United Methodist Church would take on human sexuality on leadership roles and regarding same-sex marriage.In February 2019, I was able to serve as a full voting delegate due to an unfortunate case of bronchitis impacting one of our lay delegate's ability to attend.
