Jacob Butterick BComAL GK GFINAs a Risk Governance Analyst, I use my analytical and communication skills to contribute everyday towards my team and the Bank achieving its goals. Recently, I have stepped into a new role, leading the Bank’s response to an incoming prudential standard. Prior to this I managed the Group’s regulatory requests, specialising in coordinating monthly management and board reports as well as ensuring responses to requests were completed in a timely manner. Additionally, I have assisted in the annual review and uplift of significant documents including the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), the Group Recovery Plan (GRP) and the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS). I commenced my employment with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank in June of 2019 as a Business Support Officer. In this role I worked in collaboration with a national network of Business Banking Relationship Managers, assisting our managers to move fast to help customers achieve their goals. During the COVID-19 pandemic I transitioned into a COVID-19 response team responsible for supporting our customers through the difficult times of the pandemic.Prior to commencing at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank I completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Flinders University during which time I receive two Letters of Commendation for my outstanding academic record and two Certificates of Excellence for the highest mark in a subject. To conclude my tertiary education, I completed a consulting project for the City of Marion formalising recommendations on the Council’s future ‘Smart City’ strategy. I also completed a review of BankSA’s Consumer Banking Digital Strategy in a summer internship and study tour at Nankai University, Tianjin with a focus on Chinese business culture.In 2015 I successfully completed a Year 12 South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) at Concordia College. In my final year at Concordia I was elected as School Captain by my peers and teachers to represent the College. I also received a Community Award for outstanding contributions to the College and wider community throughout my studies and received the Dux of Subject for Year 12 Economics.
