I am a creative problem solver with an interest in neuroscience and its clinical applications.I recently graduated summa cum laude from Columbia with a BA in math. Within the major, I studied “applied” subjects (like discrete math and optimization) alongside advanced theoretical ones (such as algebraic and differential topology at the graduate level). Simultaneously, I refined the coding skills I developed in computer science courses by designing algorithms at the Center for Theoretical Neuroscience. This experience, combined with graduate coursework, exposed me to machine learning practices and the principles that underlie them. As valuable as these quantitative skills are, I believe that problems aren't worth solving unless their solutions are communicated clearly. I pride myself on my ability to write lucidly and memorably about complex topics, as demonstrated in multiple published articles.I look forward to using my analytical and verbal abilities to shed light on a promising new problem.
