I am currently responsible for managing a warehouse team to process numerous daily shipments accurately and efficiently. I oversee various personnel management functions including the development and adjustment of associate schedules based on sales forecast and store needs. Another personnel management function I oversee is the training and on-boarding processes for new associates. I focus on instilling a strong and team-oriented work ethic and compliance to company standards and expectations. Here, I also enforce and ensure compliance to safety regulations and procedures.A few of my notable contributions thus far include:● Process and verify all inventory paperwork including manifests, receiving discrepancies, damaged merchandise and returns; keep database current to prevent over- or under-stocking.● Envision and execute merchandise flow from stockroom to sales floor to simultaneously maximize product exposure and sales floor/workflow efficiency.

After moving into a new industry, I took on two supporting roles as a stock and sales associate. I was responsible for supporting the stores efficient operational workflow through inventory-level control. Here, I monitored merchandise shipping and receiving, placed orders and maintained a detailed inventory database, preventing store losses and thefts. I leveraged my skills in customer service and relationship management to assist sales teams to minimize workloads, resolve customer issues and maximize store efficiency. I also collaborated with various departments to design and execute new and effective product displays. A few of my accomplishments include:● Increased store sales by fostering listening-oriented relationships to build trust with new clients and resolve any issues with existing clients. ● Recognized by management and selected to spearhead Back-of-House operations for the company’s warehouse sales.

Prior to building my skillset in operations management, I cultivated a background in production and manufacturing, which contributed to my knowledge moving forward. As a sheet metal fabricator, I was required to operate heavy-duty manufacturing equipment to assemble, repair and reinforce sheet metal/ steel projects. In addition to manual labor, I facilitated operational trainings with a keen focus on raising performance standards and safety compliance. I also coordinated work with contractors and project stakeholders to maintain established deadlines. In line with this, I compiled and completed paperwork for shipments and work orders. My major accomplishment during this time was quickly mastering industry tools to efficiently interpret and convert complex drawings and schematics into high-quality, physical deliverables for various clients.
