Jacob Evans was born in the small town Lake Nebagamon WI, the first of triplets. Throughout his middle, high school, and college, he has participated in countless musical and drama productions and performances, including soloing with the legendary jazz trumpeter Chuck Findly. Originally partaking in the performing aspect, Jacob has been an avid saxophone player for the past decade. Having earned his Eagle Scout rank at the age 17, he has shown to be skilled and prepared enough to begin his career outside of MSUM.Some of the work Jacob has been a part of is the live events that frequently happen on MSUM’s very active fine arts campus. Including being the assistant audio engineer for the large production of Women of Troy, assistant engineer and stage hand for the Jazz Ensemble, Musical Theater Ensemble, and the large Winter Gala. Working with the sound studios, Jacob is growing to become familiar with a studio setting alongside his live work. Having experience with Studio One, and Protools 3, Jacob is expanding and constantly using his knowledge to the studio.After college, Jacob started a three month training period with Sweetwater Sound, one of the largest online and phone retailers specializing in music instruments and professional audio equipment. There he learned and studied many classes covering live sound, studio recording, lighting, DJ, guitars, drums, keyboards, woodwinds, brass, and many other aspects of music technology. After three months of training, Jacob has become a Full Time Sales Engineer, managing a large book of business with church's, recording studios, and musicians across all backgrounds of entertainment.
