Serves as Operations NCO for the Small Market and Stand-Alone Military Medical Treatment Facility Organization (SSO) during the transition to Defense Health Network Central (DHN-C); responsible for the planning and execution of daily operations for the DHN consisting of 39 tri-service medical facilities executing a $2.2B budget providing care for 1 million beneficiaries; coordinates communication across multidimensional organizations and their mission partners; responsible for the management of 1.8K tasks including Director's Critical Information Requirements (DCIRs) and Requests for Assistance/Information (RFA/RFI): Manning Assists and additional projects as necessary; Serves as a liaison between DHHQ and DHN-C ensuring commincation flow between the two entities. Volunteered as NCOIC (Supervisor) and led the stand-up and management of DHN Central's Operation cellDuties:• Effectively communicated tasks and plans among multi-Services MTFs and the SSO/DHN in support of a unified mission.• Provided expertise in the development of the DCIR reporting system and standardized the system across the enterprise.• Assisted in the creation of the Standard Operating Procedures for Operations Cells benchmarked at DHA and used across DHNs.• Improved tracking system and metrics of all Director reportable items for 39 MTFs.• Lead individuals and team members toward specific goals; provide encouragement, guidance, and direction.

The Special Operations Combat Medic (SOCM) specializes in trauma management, infectious diseases, cardiac life support and surgical procedures, with a basic understanding of veterinary and dental medicine. Both general health care and emergency health care are stressed in training. SOCMs provide emergency, routine and long-term medical care for detachment members, associated allied members and host-nation personnel; establish field medical facilities to support unconventional warfare operations; provide veterinary care; prepare the medical portion of area studies, brief backs, and operation plans and orders. A SOCM can manage complex emergency and trauma patients; conduct physical examinations; integrate pharmacology principles into the management of complex and primary care patients; perform basic and advanced airway management techniques; and manage common pediatric, obstetric, gynecologic, geriatric and adult episodic and chronic conditions.Duties:• Provide initial medical screening and evaluation of allied and indigenous personnel.• Provide examination and care to detachment members.• Supervise medical care and treatment during missions.• Operate a combat laboratory and treat emergency and trauma patients.• Develop and provide medical intelligence as required.• Procure and manage medical supplies and pharmaceuticals for your clinic, person, and soldiers.• Highly trained combat medics with the necessary skills to provide initial medical and trauma care and to sustain a casualty for up to 72 hours if needed before evacuation occurs. Many times being the only medical aid in an austere environment.• Train all members of your unit in TCCC medical proficiencies.• Create and brief medical evacuation and threat plans for different areas that we will be operating in.

-Management of high dollar and consignment items for the Cardiac Cath Lab (around 1400 Sku’s). -Creating new storage solutions and on hand management inventory management through our LEAN philosophy, 5S, and 3P’s. -Vendor and supplier relations. Communicate with vendors on new trial items, consignment scanning and inventory replacement, as well as billing and item usage.-Remodeling and arranging new supply room in compliance with our LEAN standard work. This included a complete overhaul of how our items are stored within the room using bin walls and hanging racks.-Implement KanBan System for new area: Getting inventory lists, pars, and re-order points for our KanBan labels. These labels are used for re-ordering and for the alerting of low stock. A re-order card and low stock for each item (over 700 SKU’s for CCL and over 800 SKU’s for Anesthesia)-Implemented RFID System for Consigment and High Dollar item: This includes adding all of my consignment items (over 800 SKU’s) into our RFID system (Helios) as well as setting par levels for each. We then scan and tag every items that we have with our RFID labels to track and maintain our inventory levels through our RFID antennas and readers. Everything that is tagged and read shows in Helios so we can track: On hand levels, Par levels, Location, Expiration, Low/Out of stock alerts, Lot Number, Serial Number.-Skills: Helios and Oracle software usage, vendor relations, excel, LEAN, standard work, KanBan, RFID, Inventory management.

• We have been trained and continue to learn about hardware and software troubleshooting on both PCs and Macs o Identify problems with hardware within computers and monitors o Troubleshooting, assembling, and disassembling HP printers o Install and upkeep software that is used on and off campus. Some examples include: Microsoft Office, SSPS, Thunderbird, Outlook, Symantec Anti-virus, Novell, Sun, Internet Explored, Mozilla Firefox, Adobe, Filezilla, Printkey, Audacity, and PDF creator • We have been trained in customer service, and ways to talk clients through fixing there problems through the phone o Answering phones and customer service at the Academic Computing Help Desk at UW-Oshkosh. During these calls we assisted with helping students and faculty with computer problems and password resets for the on campus accounts o Help Desk is also responsible for making work tickets for all the jobs that are on campus for faculty or lab computers and printers
