I was responsible for dispatching and managing 17-20 drivers, applying for state-centric permits, drawing up rate-quotes for outside companies, and recruiting new drivers. This was to provide me with the skills necessary to eventually assume a role as a regional operations manager within the company

Primary job duties revolved around learning the basics in trucking and logistics. Spent my time working on permits, working one-on-one with coordinators to learn the intricacies of dispatching, and figuring out what equipment would be required for certain special equipment loads. The vast majority of my skills as a fleet coordinator stem from this experience.

I was responsible for developing an inventory draw down plan during the summer of 2014, with a primary focus on reducing safety stocks without losing inventory turns. I also worked on designing planograms, handheld cleanup, weekly inventory reports, and inventory slotting.
