Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring safety and security initiatives for Kadlec; remains responsible for the management of The Joint Commission Environment of Care (EOC) and security management in order to minimize hazards and reduce risk of injury to patients, visitors, and employees; Chairs and provides leadership for the Environment of Care Committee along with ensuring compliance with safety and security standards set forth by various regulatory agencies. Manages department operations to protect and serve patrons, caregivers, property and assets and is accountable for developing and implementing annual budgets and plans, serving on and chairing system and region councils and committees, and reporting significant security and emergency management issues to senior leadership. Acts as a liaison with relevant agencies (local, state, and federal law enforcement and emergency management organizations) on security measures, procedures, and needs. Provides leadership, direction and support to security personnel and responsible for the day-to-day operations of Kadlec Security Services in accordance with policies and procedures. Ensures a safe environment at all assigned locations through continuous monitoring of conditions, risk assessments and collaboration with other leaders. Develops and implements action plans and solutions to safety and security sensitive issues when discovered.

Managed and supervised KRMC Security department and G4S Kadlec account, providing dedicated security professionals to enhance healthcare security operations. Ensure physical security integrity, managing safety and security programs, and enforcement of Kadlec and G4S policies and procedures. Performed G4S leadership roles and responsibilities to include the successful administration of the Kadlec contract. Develop and implement KRMC safety and security policies and procedures to enhance healthcare operations and quality of care.

Served in USAF Security Forces and promoted to Staff Sergeant (Non-Commissioned Officer) within four years. Served as a Security Forces Staff Sergeant protecting personnel, property, and resources; patrolling military base and preserving law and order at Joint Base San Antonio Lackland Air Force Base. Lead, managed, supervised, and performed Security Forces operations. Earned consistent commendations for devotion to duty with citations for excellence in rapidly resolving crisis situations, upholding law and order, and relating effectively with culturally diverse populations.
