Hello! My name is Jacob Stevens, and I am currently a freshman at South Dakota State University, majoring in Business Economics. I chose this major because I really enjoy making connections and the relations part of the business field. In my experience so far, I have joined a few clubs, including the Investment Club and State A Thon, which helps raise money for hospitalized children from Sioux Falls. This kind of work reminds me that having a fulfilling goal in the work that I do is extremely important to me. In the future, I hope to get a career in sales and marketing somewhere in Minnesota. The reason I am interested in a career in sales/marketing is because I’ve always felt that I can easily make connections with people and maintain healthy and beneficial relationships with others. This field is very interesting to me, and I really think that I could thrive in this space.
