I started my working career as a painter by trade in the construction, mining and oil &gas industries and along my way I have found my passion lies in medical science and associated disciplines with medicine. I began my journey to become a medical practitioner with Griffith college studying and completing a diploma of health science which lead me to continue my studies into the Bachelor of Biomedical science with Griffith university. I'm currently in my final year of studies and look forward to graduating at the end of term 1 2023. At this time, I’m studying 1014SCG STATISTICS over the summer semester to which I can add to my knowledge and obtain the skills required for collecting, analysing, interpreting and presenting data that relates to health sciences. With my available free time, I am proud to be a part of, and heavily invested in my volunteer work with the children’s hospital in south Brisbane in the paediatric post- surgery recovery ward. Not only does it give me a chance to help medical staff, patients and support to their family, but it also allows me to immerse myself in my future career and gaining import skills and understanding of practices, procedures, terminology and medical professionalism that will help in my journey towards a future career in the health care system.
