I’m currently busy as guest artist at the Royal Opera House and soon to start a commission composing for a dance project, then will return to choreographing and teaching dance. Last year I completed a contract as a rehearsal director for the Commonwealth Games. My skills in recruiting, motivating and organising many of the 14,000 volunteers and professionals were recognised by the organisers and sponsors through my session planning and the workshops I developed and delivered, contributing to the international acclaim of the Ceremonies' success. My background is in dance and began with a love of Hip Hop and R’n’B music, alongside a meticulous training in ballet, further developing this at the Royal ballet School. I then began my career in dance shifting over to contemporary dance where I toured the world, co creating and performing with the critically acclaimed Ballet Black; the longest running contemporary dance company, Rambert; developed the initial dance choreography for the Beyonce music video, “Spirit”; featured in an upcoming Marvel film and danced in a Years and Years music video. I went into rehearsal directing, coaching at Birmingham Royal Ballet and The Place London, before shifting into choreography where I did music videos and work at local dance schools, working with children ages 9-16. Amongst all my work, I remain teaching regularly at dance schools, to staying connected with young, local talent and sharing my knowledge. I have worked with with production companies such as SW productions, Nouteka and Poetry Film Productions where I instigated and executed various ideas for music videos as creative director and balanced this all with my work in dance and music- including work as a DJ where I performed at ministry of Sound earlier this year.
