I have over 30 years of law enforcement experience at the local, state, and federal levels. I started my career with local law enforcement department, Lafayette PD in 1993 and shortly thereafter, in 1995, I was hired by the Louisiana State Police - Troop B. After 911, I was hired as a Federal Air Marshal, after graduating from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and I later ran for Police Chief for the city of Harahan. After I was elected as Chief of Police, I was appointed under Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal on the Peace Officer’s Standard Training Board (POST), Louisiana Executive Management Institution Board (Chairman) and the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement (LCLE), which was subsequently confirmed by the Louisiana State Senate. Additionally, I instructed Firearms, PSD, and DT for Triple Canopy in Zachary, La.In 2013, I was offered a position to return to LSP and to teach Emergency Vehicle Operations Center (EVOC) and teaching Defensive Tactics, along with instructing POST requires courses to the LSP academy cadets. During my career, I was an advanced instructor regarding Emergency Vehicle Operations Center (EVOC), FLETC / US Dept. of State Firearms instructor and Defensive Tactics / MOAB De-Escalation / SSGT / PPCT Instructor. Moreover, I had instructed Counter-Terrorism, Protective Service / VIP Protection course, Field Sobriety & DWI Detection, 7 years on SWAT, and recently completed FLETC’s course on Use Of Force Instructor. Additionally, I had taught the Peace Officers Standard Training (POST) to the Local and State Police cadets in the LSP training academy.In 2021, I retired from LSP with 28 years of service. Shortly thereafter, I was hired by Billionaire Travis Boersma’s with Dutch Brother’s Coffee to be the Training Executive Manager regarding Defensive Tactics / Firearms Instructor for the Grand’s Pass Downs and Dutch Bros in Oregon. After completing my contract, I returned to Louisiana and was hired by the Gretna Police Department in the Training Division and I work as the Facility Commander (LT) with Ochsner Security Department, assigned to the OMC - Clearview located at 4430 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, La 70006.
