Developing industry-academic partnerships for the UK Mental Health Mission.Based at NIHR MindTech Mental Health Research Centre, at the University of Nottingham.Working with digital mental health companies and NIHR Mental Health Translational Research Centre sites to build collaborations for digital mental health research.

Research Fellow at NIHR Mindtech MedTech Co-operative, University of Nottingham.-Working on the Horizon2020 and IMI-funded RADAR-CNS project exploring the application of remote measurement technology in research and clinical practice in collaboration with partners in pharmaceutical industry.-Applying qualitative and quantitative research methods to gain insights on healthcare professional requirements for using remote measurement technology in clinical practice.-Analysing patient needs, clinical pathways and reimbursement mechanisms to develop the value proposition for a remote measurement technology platform (RADAR-CNS).-Lead researcher on ExTRAPPOLATE, an ESPRC HDI network+ project using natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) to assist in the evaluation of psychotherapy sessions. Involving end users in engagement workshops to explore legibility and trust in NLP and ML approaches.

This role involved conducting qualitative research, analysing qualitative data, writing papers, organising academic events and applying for relevant permissions and approvals.

In this position I wrote grant applications, conducted literature reviews, co-organised PPI events and conducted research on behalf of a charity. Research areas included the use of the Internet of Things in healthcare.

This project involved researching mental health in older adults, using machine learning methodologies to develop tools to predict depression and anxiety. In this work I used MATLAB, SPSS and Nvivo to analyse large datasets, and engaged with healthcare staff and older adult users in focus groups and interviews. I have disseminated work from this project in peer reviewed journals and at national and international conferences.
