About Jacob Carney

Recent graduate from James Madison University with a B.B.A in Computer Information Systems. Through my education I have obtained skills in computer-based networking, SQL database, C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML, Kali Linux, and Enterprise Architecture. I grew up as a military dependent, which helped me learn how to communicate with people from all different backgrounds, since I moved every two years. I am looking to continue learning more about my field of study and want to continue my education after college by obtaining certifications such as the COMPTIA Network+ , and the COMPTIA Security+ certification.     The Madison County government enlisted JMU seniors to create a functional web application with connected to an Azure Cloud database that would serve the elected officials by having a single data repository that will execute data analysis and generate reports. A cross-functional team of 11 students was formed including full-stack developers, front-end developers, and UI/UX designers. I lead the full stack developers through sprints using agile methodology. Some back-end challenges faced were uploading data from excel spreadsheets to the database for regression analysis, and cleaning the data when the CSV files were uploaded to the database.
