Furtado & Associates is a leading civil engineering and environmental consulting firm that provides innovative solutions to various projects and clients. As a GIS Technician V, I leverage my academic and professional credentials in geographic information systems, surveying, civil engineering, and environmental studies to support the firm's mission and vision.I have a solid background in land surveying, which I gained from four years of active service in the United States Marine Corps and a previous Civil Engineering and Surveying company prior to F&A. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Washington Bothell, where I worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for NOAA, contributing to an exhibit on the history of NOAA’s ship, “Miller Freeman”. Prior to my BA, I received an Associate of Science degree from Dallas College, and some transferred credits from the University of Texas at Arlington's Geology program. I am passionate about using my communication, problem solving, and team cohesion skills to create positive impacts on the environment and society.
