Used statistical analysis to identify excessive insulation lengths and recommended process changes to create $40k in additional profit. Implemented a loss tracking system to plant operators. Created a system to track and analyze process audits. Shared the system across all Owens Corning insulation plants. Contributed to a company wide improvement team of employees from all insulation plants.

Danvers, Ma

Worked on several projects to optimize operations. In the Danvers, MA site I planned, constructed, and launched an idea generation program for 180 site operators. This idea generation program generated feasible solutions and immediate improvements. I created a quality control data system to track specifications at the Bedford, MA site and eventually to transfer the data and production information to the Cork, Ireland site. This opportunity introduced me to lean six sigma methodology.

Advanced Materials Research Laboratory

Made different varieties of nanoparticles for use in radiation detection. Gained extensive laboratory experience, became accustomed to following strict procedures. Tested samples using Electron Microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and UV Spectroscopy. Investigated chemical costs and was able to save money. Presented research at several poster sessions.

Clemson University

Counseled thirty-three incoming freshman Clemson Honors College students. Students have the opportunity to start participating in research the summer before the start of college. I also continued research for COMSET.
