6-month internship in the Maintenance and Automation department of the Green Bay Packaging factory in Morrilton, Arkansas. I was responsible for maintaining and improving our historian and reporting program, as well as assisting with various repair and automation projects. This included a joint project with the Chemical process intern to oversee the automation of bleach being added to our river water intake supplies, a previously manual process.I also assisted my department head with various long standing projects/problems. These include:-Fixing a problem that prevented our historian from reading the values from our data collectors-Making simulations of PID control and noise gate mathematics to make calibration easier for future installations-Creating and delivering an entrance and exit presentation, as well as a presentation on our fire suppression systems which our department head delivered in front of the administrative staff

I worked in an interdisciplinary research lab at the university of Arkansas under Dr. Tian. There are many projects going on in the lab, most of which I have helped on in some capacity.The project I was brought onboard for was to test the feasibility of a new cancer testing method using an AC frequency sweep across two specially designed titanium nano-fiber probes. General worker at a local Harps grocery store. My main responsibilities were to check out customers and ensure they found their way around the stores. I also occasionally stocked shelves and would assist in closing out the store when I worked the last shift.

I tutored U of A students in Physics 1 and 2, Calculus, and Chemistry. My physics topics include Newtonian physics, and electricity and magnetism. Calculus 1 introduces students to the derivative and integral, and in Chemistry 1 students learned stoicheometry and common reactions like combustion and acid-base titrations. Typically, the students getting tutoring for these classes are freshmen, and are new to the college way of preparing for homework and exams.

Responsibilities were managing the storage of car parts and general supplies, cleaning the shop, and minor repair and maintenance. This included oil changes, brake pad changes, etc.
