Positions in both The Midland County Historical Society and the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science and Art included work in community outreach, exhibit text writing/editing, educational programming, archival management, exhibit development, as well as guiding tours.- Responsible for creating and presenting day camps, as well as assisting with community outreach programs which involved traveling to five local junior high schools and presenting relevant historical information in an engaging manner (subjects included local histories of the Boy Scouts, the Civil War, and notable women).- Developed and edited exhibit text for four cross cultural exhibits; materials included newsletter text, docent guides, and exhibit panels.- Created a filing system for exhibit material for use by staff and volunteers to coordinate information, artifacts, and placement.
