As an executive councilman it is my responsibility to represent the needs and concerns of the citizens of Wisconsin by amending and voting on environmental legislation and concluding inter-district matters. The executive council also designs and finalizes the annual Wisconsin Conservation Congress Strategic Plan as proposed to the state legislature.

As chairman I manage and organize meetings, hearings, seminars, and voting carried about by the Milwaukee County Delegacy of the WCC. These responsibilities are in addition to my previous role as congressman which I have also continued.

Conservation Congress is a board of state citizens that serve as an advisory position to the state natural resources board on all matters under the natural resources board's jurisdiction. Board members listen to the opinions of state citizens and reflect their desires in meetings with the state natural resources board.

As a University Housing mechanic it is my responsibility to perform all necessary repairs and maintenance to the UWM dormitories. Within this position I manage the student mechanic work force by teaching new plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC skills and delegating work orders as requested by the dormitory residents.

I began my employment with the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works by promoting and executing the plan to map the total biological inventory of city owned vegetation, assess the current health condition of the inventory, and treat Ash trees to resist the Emerald Ash Borer. Following the successful completion of the project I transfered to the city nursery where I helped develop sustainable biological treatment plans for the greenhouse plants.

The goal of the project was to establish a habitat rehabilitation plan for the Kinnickinnic River between First Street and Chase Avenue. My responsibility was to work cooperatively with a small team to identify environmental risk factors and create a conservation action plan to restore the Kinnickinnic River habitat that reflects ‘triple bottom line’ ideology.

As an intern I learned how to identify, anticipate, and remediate a variety of land management issues. The emphasis of my work at the SANC was to properly manage invasive plant species and to prepare for the arrival of the Emerald Ashe Borer. Primary techniques used during land management included cut stump herbicide treatment, forestry mowing, and felling. I also contributed to a continuous effort to properly map the SANC property and its many features using GPS and ArcGIS.
