• To maintain the stock of items to prevent production losses

• Managing procurement of engineering material for New Projects / Expansions and day to day Repair & maintenance(R&M).
• Preparation of procurement plan

• Purchase of Raw material, Engineering items and maintaining sufficient stock to avoid stock out situation, import of raw materials in-coordination with the clearing & forwarding agents.
• One of the important links for the supply chain from outsourcing of the material and delivering to the end user.
• Maintaining the stock both within the factory premises and outside and planning the logistics.
• Managing the import formalities namely opening of Letter of credit, releasing of the documents from bank in coordination with the finance department.
• Cost reduction in purchases and logistics.Achievement:
• With the help of V.P (Materials) logistic for the Raw material was well planned and at reduced rate.

• Purchase of Engineering materials, regular consumables and Capital items. Responsible of timely deliveries into the factory premises.
• Prime consideration of cost reduction in every area
• Team leader in converting the indents from the user department to orders and delivery of material in minimum lead-time.
• Was identified as one of the ‘change agents’ to improve the working in the Purchase Department.
