*Supported the company’s growth objectives by relocating to a new and expanding market andexecuting every phase of new store set up from the end of construction through Grand Opening.*Recruit and select qualified applicants by planning and organizing hiring events with 500+ attendees.*Coordinate several rounds of interviews with selected applicants and determine whether candidatesare the right fit for a position.*Conduct orientation for up to 30 new hires annually and oversee training programs for new and newly promoted employees.*Prepare evaluations and goal reviews with store management and make recommendations to the Director of Operations based on performance.*Oversee development and performance of up to 60 store personnel to retain a motivated and professional workforce while reducing turnover below industry norms.*Regularly visit competitors in the market and stay abreast of local retail climate to ensure companymaintains its competitive advantage.

*Lead a district of four stores including property and asset management as well as overall responsibility for financial performance.*Facilitate communication between store management, executive leadership, customers and serviceproviders to streamline and improve business processes.*Monitor store conditions, equipment, facility and job responsibilities to maintain a safe environmentfor employees and customers.*Negotiate contracts with new and current service providers and approve expenditures for storemaintenance and repairs.*Oversee store payroll, inventory and cash control to help minimize controllable expenses andmaximize store profits.*Conduct bi-weekly cash audits to ensure physical and electronic tenders are properly accounted for.*Assure compliance with operating policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local lawspertaining to hiring, workers’ health and safety and food safety regulations.

*Coordinated logistical components of events including management of 85-100 vendors as well as4000-5000 patrons; ensured that events remained safe, clean, and family-friendly. *Participated in board meetings focusing on new business development, leading to the creation of abusiness development loan fund. *Monitored weekly marketing campaigns involving reorganization and updating of the website.
