I am a test engineer and plasma shock physicist for Arcfield, specializing in designing and executing experiments at high-energy laboratories nationwide. My skills lie in test planning, data analysis, PCB design, network and operating system administration in Windows and Linux, and full-stack web development. I also program, design, and construct precision electromechanical devices that solve complex problems in laboratory environments. My team and I discover needs for new or improved systems, and I continuously improve my abilities in learning about and implementing solutions that use custom hardware and software.I am a passionate electrical engineer with expertise in analog electronics and RF technology, enthusiastic about pushing boundaries in engineering, science, and space. I have experience in the United States Air Force as a missile and space systems electronic maintenance technician, specializing in electrical testing of the AGM-86b thermonuclear cruise missile. I led calibrations and alignments on analog computer systems, enabling nuclear deterrence via first-strike B-52 bomber capabilities. Tasks calibrating a missile radar altimeter test assembly cultivated a deep passion for radio frequency, leading to a pursuit of higher education.I transitioned from active duty Air Force to an enlistment in the Reserves as an F-35 crew chief, and a second enlistment in the Utah Air National Guard as a member of the Commander Support Staff for the 151st Air Refueling Group. This part-time military service enabled full-time attendance at the University of Utah, where I completed my degree in electrical engineering degree in 4.5 years. While simultaneously studying engineering and serving in the military, I worked as a systems engineer co-op on the datalink for the U-2 Dragon Lady, and I co-founded The CubeSat Club at the University of Utah, serving as president for three years. The club now has more than 100 active members across six functional and systems engineering teams.I am an Eagle Scout, I maintain an active top secret clearance (SCI + Q), and I have a General class amateur radio license.When I'm not focused on Science, I enjoy alpine and backcountry skiing, road and mountain biking, trail running, paragliding, mountaineering, photography, deep space astrophotography, backpacking, rock climbing, swimming, yoga, and riding my motorcycle through twisty mountain roads.
