Born and raised in Miami, Florida, right after high school I enlisted in the United States Army. I completed my basic training at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. I then arrived at Ft. Huachuca in Arizona and underwent my Advanced Individual Training (AIT) for Human Intelligence Collector (35M). The United States Army website, Goarmy.com, lists the duties of a 35M as the following:Screen human intelligence sources and documentsDebrief and interrogate human intelligence sourcesParticipate in human intelligence operationsAnalyze and prepare intelligence reportsI was lucky enough to be stationed in Vilseck, Germany. From here I deployed to Afghanistan for approximately 1 year. I then returned to Vilseck where I completed my contractual agreement. I returned home to Miami where I worked security and loss prevention while attending the Miami-Dade College Basic Law Enforcement Academy. Due to working while attending the academy I participated in the part-time academy. After about 1 year I graduated the academy earning the “Hot Shot” award. I was then hired by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office where I currently work. In my time here, I have worked Road Patrol, Strategic Targeted Area Response Team (Intelligence led crime suppression unit), Police Training Officer, a Detective with the Criminal Investigations Unit, a Detective with the Major Crimes Unit, and currently a Corporal on Road Patrol. I completed my BA in Criminal Justice Homeland Security in September 2021.
