    The Cahill Engineering One Student Success Centre provides first-year engineering students with academic support for their first-year course load. As a student who was a regular at the Success Centre in my first-year, I cannot stress enough how beneficial this place is for any first-year student. I was able to succeed academically with the support provided at the center while meeting many of my current engineering friends here. Currently, this term will be the 3rd term where I have tutored here. My Roles and Responsibilities include:-Provides academic assistance to first-year engineering students at MUN, aiding in Math, Programming, and Physics, resulting in improved problem-solving skills and understanding of engineering concepts.-Implemented a beneficial studying and learning environment for all students.-Effectively communicating problem-solving ideas to further benefit the students’ studies.-Actively participating in advertisement videos to promote the EO Student Success Center to first-year Engineering Students.

    During my third work term, I was with Cenovus Energy in St. John’s with the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) department. The E&I team manages projects and assets for the production operations of the SeaRose FPSO. This includes a wide variety of electrical assets such as electrical generation, distribution, and reliability equipment as well as instrumentation assets. My Roles and Responsibilities included:-Planned and aided in design modifications and documentation review for the E&I subsystems on SeaRose FPSO, in readiness for the 2024 Life Extension Drydock. -Developed a Work Package for Antenna Installation for Satellite Communications aboard SeaRose FPSO, including initial cable routing, arrangement plan, electrical drawings, and completion documentation. -Conducted 10+ Engineering Investigations Studies for obsolete E&I equipment, including validating and procuring alternative replacement solutions. -Produced 5+ Monthly Alarm Management Reports, highlighting vital performance and reliability insights for SeaRose FPSO subsystems. -Developed and processed offshore control system software change notices and fault change logs, ensuring proper offshore implementation and accurate onshore track records were maintained.

They deliver everyday Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) support for numerous Newfoundland's Oil and Gas Industry projects, including Suncor Energy's Terra-Nova FPSO, ExxonMobil's Hibernia Platform, and the Wellhead Construction for Cenovus Energy's West White Rose ProjectsMy Role and Responsibilities included:-Managed documentation for ongoing projects for Terra Nova FPSO and Hibernia Production Platform, including Engineering Data Submissions, & Master Document Registers.-Produced detailed design deliverables, including Loop Diagrams, Cable Schedules, and instrument Hookup Diagrams, providing accurate documentation of offshore subsystem components.-Created workflows to Issue IDC and AFC engineering drawings and documentation for document control.-Tested offshore control system software logic (HMIs & PLCs) and prepared system operation guide manuals, optimizing system functionality and maintenance procedures.-Develop and review engineering design documentation and drawings including datasheets and specifications for the procurement of instrumentation assets.-Compile information from CTR (Cost, Time, Resource) reports originating 40+ BOM (Bill of Materials) and RFQ (Request for Quotations) to procure EIC equipment for high-value offshore projects, ensuring timely and efficient acquisition of critical assets.

The Long Term Asset Planning Department in Churchill Falls manages many projects improving and tracking the reliability of their Hydroelectric generation assets and their life cycles, reducing the risk of significant failures during critical periods of yearly power generation.My Roles and Responsibilities included: -Conducted inventory management and identified Polychlorinated Biphenyl hazards for 200+ hydroelectric generation assets, successfully meeting the eradication target and complying with regulatory standards.-Oversaw and managed 2 town maintenance contractor projects (Summer Biting Fly Program and Town Road Maintenance), ensuring efficient execution and timely completion.-Established 10+ preventative maintenance plans to revise new equipment, safety, and maintenance procedures.-Developed project package proposals for capital upgrade and maintenance projects.-Utilized and received training to operate a Drone to capture electrical asset nameplate photos.-Worked in office and on-site around the Churchill Falls Vicinity (Switchyard, Underground Powerplant, Intake Structures, Warehouses, Townsite, Airport, etc).
