The role of a Cardiac Coach revolves around providing individual patients with personalised rehabilitation programmes, to help recover from/reduce the risk of various cardiovascular, oncological and metabolic pathologies. Constant education and personal-development is required in order to stay up to date with the latest developments in the field of healthcare. This ensures the service we deliver is science-based, accurate and efficient. Alongside the educational element of the role, a strong understanding of communication skills, project management and a competitive drive are a necessities to excel and this is something which I find exciting. Cardiac Coaches are required to keep track of a client's progress in the areas of nutrition, resistance and cardiovascular performance on a weekly basis, providing feedback and education in order for the individual to obtain life-changing health improvements upon reassessment in our London/Bath centres.I have completed my BACPR level 4 accreditation.

Strength and conditioning intern with Yorkshire Carnegie u16’s -u18’s

I worked as part of a small team responsible for the upkeep and day-to-day maintenance of the rehabilitative swimming pools, as well as ensuring the safety of First Team and Under-21 players, at the Manchester City FC training complex. This unique opportunity granted me the chance to work in an elite sporting environment at a young age. This role required the abilities to adapt and adjust my routines on a daily basis to assist and support football staff and work face-to-face with elite level athletes to ensure training procedures ran smoothly. In addition, I was also expected to support the kit staff and other facilities management daily. I was also able to work closely with the Sports Science department and have some knowledge of the demands and skills that come with such a role.
