Hired to establish enterprise-wide data processes to enable internal data-driven processes, analytics and research, and to support trading and risk management operations. As a result of the initiatives put in place and managed over the past three years, Peregrine Traders was transformed from a company without structured data processes, to a company currently managing a data lake hosting around 2 terabytes of structured and unstructured data coming from different source, with automated pipelines that allow ongoing download and processing of data, and with internal processes to enforce data quality and governance. These processes have enabled the company to perform data-driven research and strategy development, allowing shorter time to market and better insights.Main accomplishments:- Formalised the company's data strategy by translating the company's objective with respect to analytics, research and strategy development, into concrete and actionable initiatives, by identifying key process and data requirements, evaluating and selecting data vendors, and by defining a clear road-map for the realisation of the data strategy.- Developed Python based libraries to automate downloading, cleaning, transformation, and enrichment of the raw market data coming from various data vendors. - Developed dashboards and reporting systems for post trade analysis and backtesting result analysis. - Coordinated the development of the internal backtesting platform by translating requirements driven by risk management and trading, into specifications that could be developed by the software engineering team.- Analysed data coming from the company’s trading strategies and the backtesting engine to identify performance-affecting anomalies and collaborated with the trading team to translate the analysis insight into concrete solutions to improve the strategies behaviour.- Researched new investment ideas and implemented them in the form of trading algorithms.

- Analysed the market and spotted the opportunity to introduce a racing coaching service in addiction to the other services offered by the sailing club.- Conducted a profitability and market analysis identifying the budget constraints of the project.- Implemented the new service coordinating as head-coach a team of two race coaches.- Planned the day to day activities of the racing team organizing both the didactic and the logistic aspect of the activities.- The implementation of the new service generated an increase in profit of 80% over the following two years.- In the second year of activity, the implementation of the originally designed marketing plan generated an increase in enrolments of 70%.
