Voluptuous Vixens Comedy

Current
Voluptuous Vixens Comedy & Entertainment &Variety Show

The most important aim of the comedy group is to have fun & a bloody good laugh. The aim is to promote women's natural abilities, self worth & being using comedy as a vehicle to expose & dispose of the social structures that oppress women. The structures I refer to are strongly upheld & reinforced through media in all its forms. Women are subjected to oppression through various social structures such as the political, legal, medical & various other entities all of which construct ideals in which women should behave & conduct themselves. Entertainment & the arts is a very powerful tool & a positive means for self expression & provides opportunities for people to share their voice.

I love puppets & believe they are an important tool in the arts. Particularly when they are given a character to explore various issues & are used to provide opportunities for learning & to raise awareness. So I did some exploring in puppet making & crafted a few of my own which I use to conduct cultural workshops & plays with children & their families. I also use the puppets for workshops to raise awareness of bullying & other issues that may impact our children, young people & society in general.

The children & their parents learn about various cultural traditional such as dance, arts, crafts, games, stories, folk tales, song, music, puppetry, theatre production & drama & cooking classes. The children are aged from 2 years to 12 years as I believe its important to educate children from a young age to ensure they learn from positive experiences which they can reflect on through out their lives.
