Employed full time as a COVID-19 case investigator, duties include- obtain and review patient demographic, location, laboratory, clinical and risk information available in health department surveillance system, to determine investigation priorities per local protocols. Data quality reviews of completed cases. Also, initiate prompt communication and interviews with patients diagnosed with COVID-19 through phone calls, texting, emails and other communication platforms as necessary. A collection of critical information about the case and potential exposed contacts, providing support, referrals and answers to questions during the interview is completed.
