I get excited about unique and authentic brands. I love coming up with ways to deliver their individual stories and core values in the digital space, particularly through creative content and social media. My current position has allowed me to take control of every aspect of organic social media marketing for one brand. From strategy, planning, asset creation and scheduling. I’ve raised awareness of the company on social, as well as growing their following. Having one eye on industry direction and the other on channel trends, I look for ways in which to communicate quality, convenience, value and service to potential customers, which in turn drives key business objectives. Using a try and test approach, generating reports, regularly analysing insights and adapting assets and techniques to push boundaries and generate further success. Working closely with the brand and content team as well as other areas of the business to align and maintain consistency of key messages and calls to action. Experience in both in-house and agency worlds, puts me in a rare position where I can appreciate the importance of each role when working on cross brand/agency projects. My early employment history consisted of ‘shop floor’ and being ‘frontline’ for big high-street fashion brands. It was there I discovered my love for brands and what they stand for. The pandemic of 2020 left me redundant from my job, so led to a brief period of unemployment. During of which I took on digital marketing and social media for friends and family businesses as well as a few paying clients. It was during this time I took up my volunteer position with Relate Nottingham – where I dedicate some time each week doing everything from social media, copywriting, asset creation and website editing as well as acting as digital counsel to the CEO. I’m proud to be a part of their cause, one which is very close to my heart. Colleagues have often described me to be reliable, hardworking and a team player. I’ve been praised for my can-do attitude and ability to express thoughts and ideas professionally and thoroughly. I look to inject creativity into the everyday and often become a bridge between digital marketing and content creation teams because of my experience and skills in both these areas. I thrive and enjoy working with likeminded people who value honesty, transparency and teamwork. Workplace wellbeing is particularly important to me – encouraging good physical and mental health makes for a happy working environment and a productive and successful workforce.
