• To produce and maintain a range of communications material about the waste division (e.g. web site, newsletters, leaflets, briefing documents) and to provide copy for the council’s monthly Direct publication.• To design, implement and deliver education and communication packages. • Use information technology to maintain all necessary records and databases to enable the preparation and submission of statistical returns, best value and other performance indicators, the compilation of management information and reports. • To promote and support the adoption, by schools and other educational establishments, of the Eco-schools structured education programme. • To establish partnerships with the local education authority and other like-minded organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors to promote and encourage active participation in waste reduction and recycling. • To assist in the development of service performance measures and the implementation of systems and procedures to gather the necessary data. • To prepare Cabinet, Cabinet Member and other Management information reports and briefings.
