- Provide support to protein production, purification, and discovery departments- Deliver protein metabolites through transient transfection of mammalian cells- Analyze protein titer from cell media fractions with HPLC-SEC analysis- Perform flocculation of cell media fractions in preparation for protein purification- Expanded, passages, defrosted, and cryopreserved mammalian cells as needs- Performed multiple protein digestions to characterize the activity and stability of different enzyme- Perform and then analyze SDS-page gels- Conduct small-scale pilot purification with gravity columns to optimize the capture of target protein (achieved 99% capture)- Pack FPLC YMC columns with different chromatography resins- Quality test and then troubleshoot freshly packed columns

- Tasked with the preparation and timely delivery of media and buffers for fermentation and protein purification teams. Includes pH titration, conductivity measurement, and endotoxin testing (Charles River Nexgen MCS)- Ability to shadow multiple groups and gain a functional knowledge of the different departments in drug discovery and early CMC. This included gaining familiarity with bioreactors, FPLC, and HPLC-SEC.- Maintain chemical reagents and laboratory consumable inventory- Operate washer and autoclave to keep stock of sterile glassware for solution prep
