Senior Organic Artist
CurrentFrom concept to execution, successfully shipped numerous VR modules in the medical device space, participating as both an artist (3D modeling and rigging) and as a project lead.As an Organic Project Lead: -Establish cross-team workflows for organic art, rigging, and medtech teams to maximize production efficiency and ensure asset consistency-Partner with medtech team to define full scope of art assets and art functionality-Create planning and dependency charts to identify workload prioritization across organic art, hard surface art, rigging and medtech teams-Mentor and guide other artists throughout project development; ensure adherence to project requirements and timelines-Help drive team-building and team-training activities-Flag production risks and develop both pre-project and in-flight creative solutions to maintain project timelines and deliverables -Help evaluate and ensure anatomical accuracy of assetsAs an Organic Artist:-Create models in Zbrush/Maya based upon real-world and conceptual references and translate high-resolution sculpts into low-poly, real-time ready models -Generate high-fidelity textures and materials -Work within Unity engine to preview, iterate, optimize, and polish models to adhere to performance budgets and other run-time requirements-Work collaboratively with the Art Director, senior leadership, and other disciplines including Tech Art and Production to help set and maintain the quality standard across the team
